Guest Teachers – Throughout the year and especially during our summer programs we bring in World renown Choreographers and master teachers to work with our dancers.  Some instructors in the past have been such top names in the industry as Alex Wong, Matthew Clark, Everett Smith, Nick Tull to name just a few. 

 

We at P.A.C. firmly believe that the more exposure the dancers have to guest instructors the more it helps to build a social foundation for their dance education.

Shelley Kenney, Competitive Choregrapher

Shelley Kenney is a highly accomplished performer and teacher who has had the opportunity to work with many established and inspirational choreographers and teachers from around the world.

She has studied under the Royal Academy of Dancing and A.D.A.P.T. Syllabus. In her competitive years, she received many prestigious titles including ‘Miss Dance of Canadaʼ, ‘Dancer of the Yearʼ, and ‘Senior Miss Can-Danceʼ. Shelley is a proud member of Canadian Actorʼs Equity Association, ACTRA, and has worked for numerous theatre companies. Performance credits include: Return to Grace (Mirvish, Canadian Tour, Asian Tour), Singinʼ In the Rain (Capitol Theatre), Canadian Legends, Legends of Rock & Roll (Drayton Entertainment), Cabaret (Mayfield), Mary Poppins (Theatre Calgary/ Citadel), Semele (Brooklyn Academy of Music/Canadian Opera Company), Dance Legends (Grand Theatre), Tales of Hoffmann (COC), the lead dancer role of Victoria in Cats (Rainbow Stage), Lori Beth in Happy Days (Stage West), and Scrooge The Musical (Rose Theatre).

Shelley has had the privilege of traveling around the world, performing in Encore at Tokyo Disney Sea, onboard Celebrity and Princess Cruise Lines, as well as performing for the Canadian Troops on the CF Show Tour. Select TV credits include: MMVAʼs (Psy), Reign (CBS), Warehouse 13 (SyFy). Shelley is extremely passionate about teaching, and enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of the arts to todayʼs youth.

Lisa Wardle

Lisa began dancing at the age of three with recreational classes and continued her dance training as a competitive student until the age of 19. She has a strong musical theatre background and is a member of CDTA in the Jazz, Tap, Acrobatic and Ballet divisions.

 

Lisa discovered massage therapy in the midst of years of dance and movement training, and went on to become a Registered Massage Therapist. She has a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology and injury prevention.

 

While studying Business Administration at Trent University, Lisa was Co-captian of the award-winning Trent Dance Team, competing against other Ontario universities in many competitions. Lisa helped the team to expand from a hip-hop team to include jazz and contemporary divisions as well.

 

Lisa began teaching dance at the age of 17, she loves to perform and is passionate about teaching. Her philosophy is that every child deserves a place to shine; she strives to provide opportunities for young people to find and pursue their artistic talents.

Thomas Vaccaro, Circus Arts & Ariel Acrobatics

Thomas Vaccaro is a graduate from the esteemed National Circus School of Montreal, completing their circus instructor program. Bestowed with a wealth of knowledge in all five families of recreational Circus Arts which includes: Aerials, Balance, Acrobatics, Object Manipulation, and Acting.

Thomas has settled in Peterborough and hopes to develop a program to enrich the artistic creativity of the local youth while giving them a tremendous physical outlet.

As a performer he has earned credits with The PyroFlys performing for names such as Justin Bieber, Microsoft, The Royal Botanical Gardens, Canada's Wonderland, Universal Studios, and More. He also directed and produced full length original circus shows, such as Circus Dreamland and Circus Stellar, which played too sold out audiences across 2014-2016, and will be debuting his latest work, Fanciful Fables and Tall Tales: A Series of Silly Circus Stories This coming November in Market Hall Performing Arts Centre.
