The team at Peterborough PAC has been working hard to shift into providing your child with a quality digital dance learning experience, during this stressful time. I am sure we can all agree that no-one signed up for, or expected an online experience this season. However, we are forging ahead with open hearts and minds...the show must go on.
We know everyone is concerned and may be wondering what the rest of the dance may look like. At this time we can’t give you a definite answer, as things seem to be changing on a day to day basis. We are looking at the possibility of extending the dance season and if needed, move the recital to a later date, we will have to wait until things have settled down. We will continue to keep you all updated as things progress.
We thank you tremendously for your support and patience as we sort out our current reality. Families that are making monthly payments or on a payment plan, please continue to do so, if you are unable to make your payments please email the studio and we work with parents to defer payments. When this challenging time has passed, we will review the season as a whole and determine any refunds or credits that can be used for the next dance season on a case by case basis, if needed.
We've transferred most of our classes to virtual online content and created E-CLASSES to start Tuesday March 31, 2020. As promised the schedule is completed, click here to see what classes are being offered. Classes will be 40 minutes and will time out right at 40 minutes after teacher has joined the class. Movers & Shakers classes will be 30 minutes.
Even the least “techy” family can do this! We are all adjusting together and we are here for you.
In this document I will be laying out the “how to” of the virtual classes, setting our expectations for the dancers, and reminding you about the safety in the virtual classroom, and sharing all of the extras we are offering to our students during this TEMPORARY situation.
During this time please feel free to join any or all of the classes and give them a try. We are excited to spread the word to help kids that aren't currently registered to benefit from these sessions as well. “Bring a Friend”, feel free to pass the information onto your friends so they can join you online.
The LAST thing we want as a community is for our children to spend their time playing video games and watching shows and movies all day. We need them to be active, to move, to use their mind, and still interact socially with their peers.
Dance brings together the world and WE NEED DANCE IN OUR LIVES NOW MORE THAN EVER DURING OUR SOCIAL DIS-DANCING!
WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THE CLASSES; WE WILL SEE YOU ALL VIRTUALLY SOON!
